Καφέ - Αναψυκτήριο 'El Greco' cafe

Seriously go. The cafe is a great reason to visit this small free museum. Jsut great atmosphere, not far away, and worth every second. Anytime we re in the area we ll be visiting :)

El Greco Cafe is an absolute delight! Nestled in a charming location, this spot is perfect for a relaxing break during your visit to the area. The coffee is truly amazing — rich, aromatic, and clearly made with care. One of the standout treats was the Cretan goat’s milk ice cream. It’s unlike anything we’ve tasted before — creamy, refreshing, and absolutely phenomenal. A must-try if you’re visiting! We also had the cheese and ham toast, which was incredibly satisfying and delicious. Simple yet bursting with flavor, it was the perfect snack to go along with our drinks. Adding to the charm, the museum attached to the cafe is free to enter and made for a lovely cultural stop. It was such a nice surprise to find a place where you can enjoy both art and a tasty bite in one visit. The lady running the restaurant was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Her warmth really made us feel at home. We highly recommend El Greco Cafe to anyone in the area — whether you’re looking for a quality coffee, a unique dessert, or just a peaceful place to unwind.

Amazing waffles and a great local soft drink under the trees. Truly traditional and fits the place. Had it been here 500 years ago, El Greco would never have left for Spain!

This place is absolutely awesome. The service was amazing and the staff was very kind and helpful. We enjoyed the homemade Lemonade under the trees, and although it was very hot, it was nice and mild under them.

A nice small park in the heart of Fodele village. You can visit the small museum of El Greco "Dominikos Theotokopoulos" for a small fee. Although very slow when busy, coffee and snacks are available on site with very friendly stuff.

Amazing location placed in a oranges trees forest. Verry good product, icecream from sheep milk, fresh orange juice from the orangesc in the trees beneath. Amazing view and you will vizit the memorial house of El Greco the painter.

Stopped here for a quick Fredo Capuccino. A charming little café…quiet, peaceful, with a beautiful view. A perfect spot to bid farewell to Crete.

Absolutely worth it, to stop here for a few minutes and just absorb the atmosphere of the place… and the delightful Frappe they make. Sit down and relax, don’t rush to „the next place” yet... This is one of those precious moments in life. Oh and ask for the cute small chocolate chip cookies: they go with the Frappe soo well! ;)
